Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of the memory of children as eyewitnesses and the use of child victims in court contexts. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive She has also received a number of grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the globe on policy as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the America Psychological Association's divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
