Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born the 13th of December, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift is a pop/country songwriter and singer for the past 20 years. The stories she tells of her young love and heartbreak are gaining her acclaim in the 21st Century. Swift showed an interest in music from a young age, and quickly moved from roles in children's theatre until her first performance before an audience of tens of thousands. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and in the next year, she began playing guitar and began writing songs. Taking her inspiration from musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at thirteen after they sold their Pennsylvania farm. The move enabled Swift to be more active in trying to find labels that would promote traditional music from Nashville.
